4/27/2020 Review: 27.04.2020 As we start the next week of our unique term, we would like to say a huge ‘well done’ to all our children.
The EYFS children have been busy getting to grips with their new learning platform, Seesaw, and the rest of the school has continued to get to grips with the Microsoft Teams program. Last week we sent out log-ins to all our Y2 – Y8 pupils for two educational sites, ReadTheory and Times Tables Rock Stars/Numbots which will support your children’s development in basic skills. We hope that the different tasks and activities, spread across the curriculum, from focused maths, English and science to the freedom of project work, music and drama have something for everyone to enjoy as well as learn. Taking time to learn and develop skills off-screen is important to everyone’s health and we advocate a balance of on-screen and non-screen time. Taking time to get outside is also extremely beneficial, having a break, and then being in an improved position to continue any learning. So far, the work that has been handed in has been excellent with clear effort being put into every piece. We know that you know your child best and each of our families has its own personal circumstances that dictate what is and is not possible in their home. Please set your own limits and expectations as to what is achievable in your home and contact your child’s form tutor or teacher to discuss any concerns or worries. We want to support you as best we can, from a distance. We have all enjoyed sharing your successes and looking at the Pre-prep Celebrate page and Prep Shoutouts. We think of you all every day and want all our pupils to know that will miss seeing them; seeing their smiles; feeling their energy and enthusiasm and watching them grow, but we are looking forward to seeing you all again soon. Take care and please do not hesitate in contacting us as needed. Comments are closed.
